夏威夷大島魟魚夜潛！

我現在在大島拿進階潛水員執照！而其中對我來說挑戰最大的，就是夜潛！因為我眼睛晚上看不見....QQ 而夏威夷大島最有名的，就是魟魚夜潛！所以教練就安排我跟魟魚一起上課啦～～

每個潛水員都發一支手電筒，海底下也放了好多燈，像營火一樣的一大叢聚在一起。潛水員們的手電筒都往上照，大家靜靜趴在海底。浮游生物會趨光，就會被大家的燈光吸引來，然後濾食性的魟魚們就會來吃飯。

好多好多的魟魚！！！他們美極了的在燈光中穿梭飛舞，張大嘴吃飯的樣子好恐怖。一群人趴著看著魟魚們在燈光中跳舞，輕拍潛水員的頭，這個感覺真的很像某個邪教一樣.....

我的心情很複雜。雖然沒有喂食，雖然沒有圈養，但是，如此的光線招攬的魚，是否也讓他們養成某種類似被餵食的習慣？我不知道。

每晚的魟魚朝拜，讓大島變成了世界聞名的魟魚潛點。但我個人還是比較喜歡沒什麼人知道的蜜克羅尼西亞的魟魚馬路，因為那才是天然的魟魚群聚。

I am right now doing my Advanced Scuba Diving certification in Big Island, Hawaii! The most challenging adventurous dive for me, is night dive! Because I don't really see in the dark....QQ The most famous dive in Big Island is precisely Manta Ray night dive!!! So of course my instructor wanted me to do this as part of my course~~

Every diver was given a water flash light, and there was a lot of light installed like a camp fire in the bottom of the ocean. Diver would shine the light upward while laying stationary in the bottom. The planktons will aggregate because of the light, and the filter-feeder manta rays will then come to feed on them.

There were sooooo many mantas!! They swam and danced in between the lights beautifully, and their big open mouths were so scary looking. Lots of divers laing there and being tapped by mantas... it truly looked like a manta cult.....

I have mixed feelings about this. Althought we didn't feed them, nor were they in captivity, but such light routine seemed to indirectly feed them? I don't know.

These manta ray night dive cult make Big Island one of the most famous manta dive spot in the world. But I still like the Manta Road in Micronesia much better... because that is the natural manta habitat!
